EIP: Executing International Projects
Graduates of this online class are able to communicate across cultures in ways that build trust and enable
the exchange of accurate information and feedback, to execute international projects in spite of differences
in values and work styles, monitor project progress and insure fact-based decision making, and to maintain a
sense of one team, prevent conflict when possible and resolve it when necessary.
The class
leverages participant and instructor experiences, and includes an extensive international project case study.
Note: Attending this class requires the prior completion of the
Initiating
International Projects (IIP) online class.

Structure:
Steps 1, 4, 7, 10: Individual Activities
Self-paced learning. Examples are self-contained
multimedia lectures or reading assignments.
Steps 2, 3, 5, 8: Team Activities
Working in teams of about 4-6 students. Some of these
activities are supported by participating instructors.
Steps 6, 9: Class Activities
Live Virtual Meetings with all students and the class
instructors.
Each step requires about 1 to 1.5 hours.
All instructional materials are made available through password-protected access to the University
of Texas at Dallas' class website. Students download multimedia lectures to their computers and work on them at their own
pace. Live Virtual Meetings are conducted through Adobe Connect Pro, an industry-standard virtual meeting solution. Student
teams are about 4-6 participants strong; each team has an appointed team coordinator, who orchestrates the team schedules and works with
the instructors on tasks and issues.
