Managing International Customer Relationships

Whether working on custom or catalog projects, few program and projects leaders can be successful without productive interaction with their customers.  In international settings, this introduces a new set of tough challenges.  Customer expectations from a supplier or partner may range from collaborating as equals to requiring a distinct hierarchical order.  Numerous projects have disappointed or failed because their managers did not handle such cultural differences adequately.

Participants of this workshop will learn about the "do's and don'ts" of communicating with international customers, the meaning of commitments in different cultures, conflict handling strategies, and much more.  The interactive workshop format includes lecture, case examples from several cultures, many exercises, and facilitated Q&A.
